… New York City, of course.
Though a recent study found that the D.C. area takes the top prize for most hours wasted in traffic, New York City wins for worst overall driving experience, according to a new report from Nerdwallet.com, a consumer advocacy group.
The group analyzed data based on these three questions: Will you be stuck in traffic? Is gas expensive? Is the city overcrowded?
Most New Yorkers take public transportation to work, but those who do drive to work (that’s me) face major delays (like I-95 on a Friday before a summer holiday) and gas prices that are 8 percent higher than the national average (I just paid $4.19/gal).
Here are the other most miserable cities for drivers:
2. Chicago, IL
3. San Francisco, CA
4. Los Angeles, CA
5. Boston, MA
6. Washington, DC
7. Oakland, CA
8. Honolulu, HI
9. Portland, OR
10. Philadelphia, PA
