Welcome to Commuter Life, a new blog dedicated to all things transit and the people who travel LoHud’s roads and rails every day.
I’m Theresa Juva-Brown, LoHud.com’s new commuting reporter, and I’ll be counting on you to share your stories, tips, and ideas to make this a go-to place for commuters.
A little bit about myself. From crime, breaking news, and government to schools and health, there are few beats I haven’t covered during my four years at The Journal News/LoHud.com. And I definitely know what it’s like to have a long trek to work, because I live in Queens and drive to White Plains five days a week. To have a job I enjoy every day, I’ve made my peace with long EZ-Pass lines, inevitable toll hikes, and Friday afternoon gridlock.
Enough about me. Let’s talk about you. What kinds of stories do you want to read? What issues are important to you? And most importantly, when you talk to your friends and family about your commute, what topic/concern seems to come up again and again? I have a feeling I know what it is, but I want to hear it from you! Leave your comments below, or email me at tjuva@lohud.com. Happy Friday!
